One of the biggest problems I've had in the past with virus checkers is that they're so enormous they use up nearly all your RAM, which slows your PC down to a crawl! What good is having a virus checker if it makes your PC almost unusable??? I've been really frustrated by the big-name virus checkers like McAfee and Norton in the past - they made my computer run soooooo slow. They also charged me about $20-$30 when I needed to call them for technical support!!! Can you believe that?! Anyway, I'm now glad I've found The Shield 2008 - it's lightweight and fast, so it doesn't slow down your PC. It also updates regularly so your computer is always safe. I've never needed technical support, but I hear it's free, which is a major plus when things go wrong!"

Just wanted to say that I've just bought the shield pro from the PCsecurityshield website and I'm really pleased with it. It's really easy to use, and is fast at doing a full system scan. Also, I can hardly tell that it's running in the background. The firewall is also really good. Keeps asking me if I want to allow various programs access to the net, which my other firewall never did. All in all I'm really pleased and can now surf the internet knowing that I'm protected."
