This is another cheap, affordable product from PAL. The software is quite light and basic (only a virus checker is included) but it is very cheap and runs quickly without slowing down your computer. This is a very basic option, that you may want to consider if you're just looking for a virus checker at an affordable price and nothing else. This virus checker is currently retailing at half-price by the vendor. Recommended by PC Format and PC World, PAL Emergency Response is the cheapest antivirus product in our top 10. It's also fast and effective and is updated automatically on a regular basis - all in all great value for money. It's set-and-forget approach also makes it ideal for novice users. However, it has yet to be validated by Virus Bulletin, and as such it's effectiveness at removing viruses remains in question. Also the technical support is fairly poor, with a slow response time to our query and the response seemed to be a standard cut-and-paste response.
